Educator Workshop: Project Learning Tree

Tuesday, August 11, 2026 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Cost: $25.00

From birds singing in the trees to grasshoppers searching for just the right flowers to eat, we are surrounded by a multitude of interactions that help form our environment. During this workshop, we will explore the wetlands and woodlands of Wildwood Park while using activities from Project Learning Trees’ Explore Your Environment K-8 guide. This award-winning guide contains 50 hands-on activities that can help educators incorporate place-based, STEAM activities about wild species, people and the environment into their curricula or group programming. Activities are multi-disciplinary, and can help address the Next Generation Science Standards, Common Core Standards for English, Math and Social Studies and Pennsylvania’s Environmental Literacy Standards. All participants will receive the guide.

In Pennsylvania, Project Learning Tree is sponsored the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. This workshop will be conducted by Wildwood Park and DCNR, Bureau of State Park educators. This workshop is designed for all K-8th grade classroom and informal educators interested in teaching about the environment. Morning refreshments and snack provided. ACT 48 hours are available for PA Certified Teachers.  The workshop will be held indoors and outdoors. Space is limited. Pre-registration required.
