Summer Day Camps

Registration for our summer day camp programs opens on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023. Space is limited, each camp is $165 per child and runs from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, Monday thru Friday. Lastly, please only register for one week; activities and topics will be repeated.

2023 Summer Day Camp Schedule

Nature Explorers Day Camp (ages 6-8)

Monday, June 19 to Friday, June 23
9:00 am – 3:00 pm each day
$165 per person

Children ages 6 to 8 will learn about animal adaptations, explore aquatic life in Paxton Creek and enjoy a live animal presentation. Each day will focus on a new, fun topic about our local plants and animals and include nature-themed activities and crafts.

Monday, June 26 to Friday, June 30
9:00 am – 3:00 pm each day
$165 per person

Environmental Pioneers (ages 15-17)

Thursday, July 6 to Friday, July 7
9:00 am – 3:00 pm each day
$65 per person

Join various Naturalists during this two-day camp in learning about a variety of topics related to the environment. Teens ages 15-17 will discover what jobs exist in the environmental world and dive into various activities related to these jobs such as water quality, species identification and nature photography. Part of the day will consist of team building and group activities, while the other portion will allow campers to choose their own activities from a list of topics depending on their personal interests. This list will change each day. With newfound knowledge of these occupations, we hope to jumpstart your career path in these fields.

Junior Naturalist Day Camp (ages 9-11)

Monday, July 10 to Friday, July 14
9:00 am – 3:00 pm each day
$165 per person

Campers ages 9 to 11 who are interested in discovering the outdoors will spend the week learning more about species identification and natural history. Hands-on activities will explore life beneath water, amphibians, reptiles, birds and insects. Discover new habitats while visiting Detweiler Park and enjoy a live animal presentation. Various activities such as hiking, journaling and using binoculars will also be included.

9:00 am – 3:00 pm each day
$165 per person

$50 per person

Sprouts ages 4 and 5 will discover nature through hands-on activities. Spend some time exploring the outdoors through discovery and sensory walks, stories, crafts and much more. Learn about the different plants and animals that call Wildwood Park home over this 3-day camp.

Outdoor Week (ages 12-14)

Monday, July 31 to Friday, August 4
9:00 am – 3:00 pm each day
$165 per person

Outdoor enthusiasts ages 12 to 14 will spend the week outdoors exploring the natural world and learning basic wilderness survival skills. Discover the importance of teamwork while working together to build shelters and campfires. Fishing, orienteering, canoeing and knot-tying are just a few of the fun activities included.
