PSE Master Gardeners’ Gardening with Insects Series: Native Bees of PA

Saturday, August 15, 2026 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM Cost: $10

Attendees will explore why native bees are essential pollinators that support biodiversity, strengthen ecosystem health, and enhance the productivity of many wild plants and crops—often outperforming honey bees on species that require buzz pollination. With more than 4,000 wild bee species contributing to U.S. agriculture, protecting these insects is vital for a resilient food system and thriving natural environments. Led by Angela Hartley, Master Gardener in Dauphin County, the program is part of the Gardening with Insects series and features striking, locally relevant imagery of native bees photographed in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Registration is required to receive the link to access the virtual webinar. No in-person participants.

A link to the recorded webinar will be emailed to registrants within ten business days after the live event. The recording will be accessible for six months from the event date.
