Over one billion birds die each year in the United States due to window collisions. Join Appalachian Audubon Society to learn about why glass is a threat to birds and see how to implement ways to prevent collisions at your own home or business. Citizen science opportunities will also be discussed, including the collision monitoring project operated by the Bird Safe Harrisburg Committee. Data from the project will be shared, highlighting results from several monitoring routes over the last two years. Please join us for this indoor presentation. Pre-registration is not required for this program.
