The Friends of Wildwood is a non-profit organization acting as an advocate for Wildwood Park and the Benjamin Olewine III Nature Center through preservation, education, and financial support.
Funds raised through memberships, donations, and purchases through the Nature Shop are used to support programs such as the Winter Lecture Series, Art In The Wild and the Photo Contest enhancing amenities like Nature Center exhibits, outdoor restrooms, and improvements to the Park such as planting native species and constructing a new boardwalk.
The Friends also sponsor special projects including research on turtles and other park wildlife inhabitants, a study on ways to reduce pollution and sediment build-up in Wildwood Lake, and a guidebook on the Wildflowers of Wildwood Park.
Many of our members are active volunteers, staffing the Front Desk, helping with programs, and participating in activities. With close to 350 members, the Friends provide a vital source of funds and people power to Wildwood Park and the Nature Center.
Thank you for supporting your Park!
