Home Gardening Series: Propagation of Native Plants by Seed
Sherrie Moyer, owner of Hungry Hook Farm Native Plant Nursery, will discuss the important biological processes that allow plant populations to be genetically diverse through the production of seeds. She will teach the propagation steps needed to get from seed to mature plant and include information on the following topics: sourcing seed, ethical seed collection, proper seed storage, acceptable soil and containers, germination protocol resources and transplanting tips. The content is applicable to those who have never sown a seed, those who have adept propagation experience, and everyone in between. Pre-registration required.
